Stone County Jail Roster Overview
The official public roster path starts on the Stone County sheriff page, which links to the Tiger/TCSI roster for Stone County Detention Center. The active tab showed 15 total inmates when inspected in June 2026. That number is a public roster count, not the full regional correctional facility census, because the same physical site also appears in MDOC material as a regional facility. The roster has a public disclaimer, a Last Name filter, a Refresh Results control, and inmate rows with "Select Inmate" links.
Stone County inmate records require more than one access channel. The online roster is the best first step for active local jail custody. The jail information line at 601-928-7042 ext. 0 is the fallback when a recent arrest does not show online. The sheriff's office at 601-928-3191 handles local routing during posted business hours. Older or non-roster jail records may require the county public-records request form. Sentenced state offenders move to the Mississippi Department of Corrections inmate search, while federal and immigration searches use BOP, ICE, USMS, or court channels.
The Stone County active roster screenshot shows the local roster layout, tabs, last-name search field, active count, and inmate rows.
The screenshot confirms that Stone County's public row view is simple, so the full profile must be opened for booking details.
Use the Stone County Inmate Roster
The roster is built around tabs instead of a complex search form. A reader can check active custody, released-last-72-hours entries, or booked-last-72-hours entries from the same Tiger/TCSI system. If a name is misspelled, the research found no wildcard rule, so browsing the active rows may be more useful than retrying a partial spelling. Each row's Select Inmate link is important because the row does not show every public field.
- Open the active roster from the Stone County sheriff page or use the direct Tiger/TCSI roster URL.
- Choose Active Roster, Recently Released, or Recently Booked based on the custody question.
- Enter a last name when the list is long, or browse rows if the spelling is uncertain.
- Open Select Inmate to review booking date, arresting agency, charges, bond, and photo.
- Call the facility when the person should be in custody but does not appear after a vendor update.
- Use MDOC, BOP, ICE, USMS, or VINELink when the custody type is not local county jail custody.
Note: Stone County research did not find an official sheriff mobile app for Mississippi, so do not use similarly named Stone County apps from other states.
Stone County Roster Search Fields
The Stone County roster does not expose first-name, booking-number, birth-date, or facility dropdown search fields in the documented public view. It gives a last-name field and tab controls. That narrow field set is why the jail phone line and public-records request process matter when the online list is incomplete or a person has already moved out of local custody.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| View Active Roster | Tab/link | No | Shows current active public roster entries; 15 total inmates were visible at inspection. |
| Recently Released | Tab/link | No | Opens Released Last 72hrs; no inmates were visible at inspection. |
| Recently Booked | Tab/link | No | Opens Booked Last 72hrs; no inmates were visible at inspection. |
| Last Name | Text | Unspecified | Filters roster rows by last name. |
| Select Inmate | Row link | Yes for profile | Opens the full inmate profile for that row. |
| Refresh Results | Button/link | No | Reloads the selected roster tab. |
Stone County Inmate Profile Fields
The Stone County inmate profile is richer than the roster row. The inspected public record showed a booking photo, a precise booking timestamp, arresting agency, scheduled release field, physical descriptors, and a charge table. It did not show a court date, housing unit, warrant number, judge, full date of birth, or street address. That distinction helps prevent false assumptions when a person is trying to match roster data to a court case.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Public full name as displayed on the roster profile. |
| Booking # | Local booking identifier as entered by Tiger/TCSI. |
| Booking Date | Date and time of jail intake. |
| Primary Offense | Label appears on the profile and may be blank. |
| Arresting Agency | Agency connected to the arrest or booking. |
| Scheduled Release Date | Projected release if known, or N/A. |
| Mugshot image | Public booking photo when available. |
| Charge Information | Description, charge type, bond amount, and fine amount. |
Stone County Jail vs MDOC Lookup
A Stone County arrest usually starts in local custody, but the search path changes as the case moves. The county roster covers active jail entries and short recent booking or release tabs. MDOC covers sentenced state offenders, including people housed in regional facilities under state jurisdiction. The BOP locator covers sentenced federal prisoners. ICE ODLS covers immigration custody. VINELink provides custody status and notifications, which can be useful when the roster is only one part of the search.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | Use When |
|---|---|---|
| Local pretrial or county custody | Stone County Tiger/TCSI roster | The person was booked into the county facility or recently released. |
| Sentenced state offender | MDOC inmate search | The person was sentenced to state custody or moved into MDOC status. |
| Federal sentenced inmate | BOP inmate locator | The person is serving a federal sentence from 1982 to present. |
| Immigration detainee | ICE detainee locator | The person is in ICE custody or has immigration detention questions. |
| Custody notification | Mississippi VINELink | Status alerts or victim notification are needed. |
Stone County Jail Facility Contact
Stone County has one facility page for the jail and regional correctional facility because the county, visitation packet, and MDOC sources point to the same physical site. The county name is Stone County Regional Correctional Facility, while MDOC uses Stone County Correctional Facility. Local jail questions, roster questions, visit approval, phone deposits, and commissary setup all route through this Wiggins facility or its linked vendors.

Booking Process in Stone County
Booking begins after an arrest by the sheriff's department, Wiggins Police Department, a state agency, or another agency. The person is taken to Stone County Regional Correctional Facility for intake. Public roster fields then may include name, booking number, booking date and time, arresting agency, demographic fields, scheduled release date, booking photo, charge description, charge type, bond amount, and fine amount. The public roster does not show exact housing, but the visitation packet uses housing and visit categories such as A, B, C, D, E, A Custody, J, M, I, L, CSTU, Females, and joint county inmates.
Stone County court sources add a local first-appearance detail. Justice Court judges hold jail sessions three times each week to protect the right to an initial appearance within three days of arrest. Felony cases first move through Justice Court or Municipal Court depending on the arresting agency. A person charged with a felony will not have a Stone Circuit file until indictment by the grand jury, so the jail roster may show a booking before MEC shows a circuit case.
Stone County Visitation Schedule
The SCRCF visitation packet requires approval before visits. The application must include the applicant name, offender name, and MDOC number, and unreadable applications are denied. Visitors age 14 or older need picture ID, and visitors under 14 need a valid state birth certificate. No visits are granted during the last 30 minutes of a zone's visitation period. The packet also says no visitation occurs on a fifth Saturday or fifth Sunday.

Stone County Commissary and Phones
Family support channels are separate from bond. The visitation packet says money orders have not been accepted by mail or in person for inmate accounts since January 1, 2013. Trust and canteen funds go through the lobby kiosk or TigerDeposits/Tiger Commissary. Phone accounts use ConnectNetwork or GettingOut. The Tiger Commissary page shows web deposits and order commissary options for Stone County MS Detention Center.
| Service | Provider / Method | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Canteen or trust funds | Lobby kiosk or TigerDeposits | Inmate account deposits. |
| Commissary order | Tiger Commissary | Order commissary shipped to the inmate. |
| AdvancePay phone | ConnectNetwork / ViaPath | Phone service for Stone County MS. |
| GettingOut phone | GettingOut.com, 866-516-0115 | Phone account support listed in the packet. |
Note: Confirm custody before sending money because release, transfer, or a hold can change which account path applies.
